금영, 합숙 들어간 여자 배구단 숙소에 노래방 기기 설치

코로나19 확산 여파로 노래방이 공포의 장소가 됐다. 경북 안동의 한 노래방은 코로나19 확진자를 여럿 배출하는 오명을 썼다. 노래방 방문자는 좁고 밀폐된 공간에서 남이 쓴 마이크를 사용해야 하는 만큼 바이러스 확산에 치명적일 수 있다.

평소 외부 활동을 좋아하던 사람이 갑자기 집에만 갇혀있다면 우울함을 느끼기 쉬워진다. 이 탓일까. 노래방 출입이 줄어든 대신 가정에서 노래방을 간 것과 같은 서비스를 즐기는 이들이 대폭 늘어나는 추세다.

7일 금영노래방 한 관계자는 "최근 코로나19 확산에 따라 집에 있는 사람들이 늘었는데, 이것이 가정용 노래방 서비스 수요를 늘리는 계기가 됐다"며 "업소를 방문하면 불특정 다수가 사용한 마이크를 그대로 사용해야 하지만, 집에서는 마치 TV VOD를 보듯 영상을 튼 후 마이크 없이 노래를 할 수 있다"고 말했다.

‘KT 기가지니 금영노래방’은 TV와 인공지능(AI) 스피커를 활용해 집안을 노래방으로 만들 수 있는 서비스다. 업장과 같은 노래방 반주 3만7000개쯤 제공하며, 키·템포 조절과 간주 점프, 리듬·멜로디, 악보 등 기능도 지원한다. 검색·선곡 등을 리모콘 대신 음성으로 조작할 수 있어 AI스피커 기반 서비스라는 장점을 제대로 살렸다.

KT 기가지니 금영노래방 서비스는 2월 15일 이전 3주간 1만897명이 이용했는데, 이후 3주간 이용자 수는 1만6789명에 달한다. 54% 이상 급증한 셈이다.

금영노래방은 이용자 취향과 사용 환경에 맞는 제품과 서비스를 선보였다. 가정용 반주기 ‘쥬크5’와 스피커, 마이크, 노래방 서비스를 하나로 합친 블루투스 마이크 ‘뮤즐 1·2’, 애플리케이션 노래방 서비스 ‘뮤즐’ 등이 그 주인공이다.

금영노래방은 최근 가정용 반주기 쥬크5를 자사가 후원하는 프로 여자배구 구단 ‘도로공사 하이패스’ 숙소에 설치할 예정이다. 최근 프로배구 남녀부 13개 구단은 한국배구연맹(KOVO)에 무관중 경기를 치르기 보다 리그 자체의 진행 연기를 요청했다. 연맹은 2일부터 남녀 배구 리그를 중단했다.

금영노래방 측은 "여자배구 선수들은 리그 중단에 따라 한국인·외국인 선수할 것 없이 전부 합숙소 안에서만 생활하고 있다"며 "심심하고 자칫 우울할 수 있는 합숙소 생활에 활력을 불어넣기 위해 노래방 기기와 서비스를 제공하기로 결정했다"고 말했다.


백종우 경희대 교수(정신건강의학과)는 "최근 진료를 보러 오는 분들 중 외출을 못하고 원래 좋아하던 활동을 못하니까 답답하다는 분, 낮에 할 일이 없어 잠을 자다 보니 밤에 못자 불면증이 생겼다는 분 들이 있다"며 "가족과 보내는 시간이 갑자기 늘어 가족 간에 트러블이 생기기도 한다"고 말했다.

백 교수는 "집에서 노래 등 평소 좋아하던 활동을 하는 것은 예민해진 가족과의 관계 개선과 우울함 개선 등에 도움을 줄 수 있다"며 "창문을 열어 자주 환기하고, 햇빛을 쐬는 것도 정신 건강에 좋다"고 밝혔다.
